More Than Enough

As I have thought about what to share today, it has been hard to decide. So much is going on in the world, our country and in our families. I decided since I can't change the world, I would speak to family and friends. This week through phone calls, face book post, and e-mails from family, friends and church there is so much going on. Jobs needed and families in trouble. Health, oh my. A nephew recovering from an infected dog bite, his wife learning of an aunts death and the same day being told a cousin is in stage 4 cancer. A cousin awaiting a lung transplant and another facing surgery next month for cancer. I learned a cousin passed away earlier this month. Jonah, our grand son, his other grand father is facing surgery next week. Our pastor is awaiting a lung transplant. So many concerns, grief and heartaches, they seem to overflow and the blessings of God cannot be seen. But they are there, if we will just take a moment to look. I am reminded that our God is More Than Enough to cover all our needs.  My prayer for each of you, is that you seek the God that is sufficient for all your needs.

                                                          More Than Enough

Is there any way to have to much of God? Never! He is all we need. He is the calm in the storms of life that we all go through, our guard in the daily wars we fight. When we are weakest, he is our strength. Only God can bring us peace in times of sorrow. When we can no longer walk, he carries us. He is reason in times of confusion. He is more than enough for all our needs.
He is our healer in times of sickness.
He wipes away the tears of a broken and heavy heart.
He is our courage and strength to face each day.
He loves us, though hated by many.
He is our encourager when we are down.
He knows our every sin, yet forgives when we ask.
He gently corrects with love, when we do wrong.
He gives us peace and joy for our sorrows and pain.
On the day he dyed on the cross, he thought of each one of us and freely gave his life, that we might be free. He took on my sin and yours and made them his own, so that he could pay the debt, that we could never pay. Can we have to much of God? No! When we allow him to have all of us, we become a reflection of him.

The Potter

The Potter

As I have read through my messages this morning and joined in a couple of discussion groups, I have been reminded how much God has changed my life in the past 6 months. Heartaches, I have carried since I was a little girl have been healed. God can do amazing things in our lives if we will allow him to. I hope you enjoy The Potter. Leave a commit if it touches your heart. May God give you peace throughout this day.

                                                                The Potter

The cold damp clay to the spinning wheel goes, awaiting the potter, to shape and create a vessel of love.
Amazing care and attention with each spin of the wheel. The whisper of love and grace the spinning wheel blends. The shape finely complete. The shape of a heart, into the hands of the potter to cradle and love. To the fire it now must go, the growing begins.
The firing complete. The dampness, impurities and coldness are gone. Back into the hands of the potter the vessel now goes. On the heart now is drawn the image of God. With each stroke of the brush, the potter applies, faith, hope and love. Kindness and mercy then is applied. Nurturing and strength will cover it all. The gentle strokes of desire and love for the world to see.
There is a spot on the heart, The potter now claims. Now all must be sealed with the blood of his son. The shape of the old rugged cross now has a place on the heart, that image of God. Back to the fire the vessel must go. Imperfections of life will now bake away. The demands and the pressures, disappointments are gone. Unwanted and wasted the fire burns away. No more of rejection and shame.
On the spinning wheel now, sits the heart of perfection. Clothed in passion and love for the world to behold. The potter now stands, tears in his eyes, the love and affection it took to create this love of his life.Sealed with the blood of his son. Now it is clothed in the beauty and love that salvation brings. A new life now to begin. Softly, in a whisper, God speaks, Come, join me and my son, be a part of our life in the family
of God.

We Must Learn

                                                        We must lean.

Such a simple statement but it holds so much power. As I read the Sunday paper, there was so much anger. One group wants gun control and another wants armed guards at every school. What must we learn to keep our homes and our schools and our country safe. One thing, guns don't kill, evil does. Gun control is put on good law abiding people, not those that would use guns for destruction. More gun control takes the restrictions off of evil. We must learn that man is not our enemy and learn to recognize evil in ourselves and others, know when it comes near to us, and learn to fight it God's way not man's.

                                                         WE MUST LEARN
We must learn that man is not our enemy. Satan is the enemy of God and man. He is the ruler of this world. He seeks to steal, kill and destroy our lives. We will never heal or be able to reach out and touch the lost without the Grace of God. We have nothing of ourselves to offer a hurting world. Many people wear a bracelet with WWJD. What would Jesus do? To me that only touches the surface. Even evil men can do things and treat others the way Jesus would. It comes down to the heart attitude, is it in line with God. We must put to death all of our human emotions, feelings and attitudes. Dying to having  our own way and allow Jesus to live through us. Dying to self takes the sufficient grace of God to be real in our lives.
In the 22nd chapter of Luke, we read the account of Jesus when he prayed in the garden of Gethsemane shortly before the soldiers came for him. I see it as a time when Jesus was not at peace. He was in such anguish and grief that he sweat droops of blood. Christ knew what he was facing and knew the horror that sin was holding on man. Yet he prayed not my will but thine be done. When he faced the soldiers, he did it with grace and peace at what was to come. It was love that would hang on the cross.
When our Lord said, My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me. He felt every heartache, hurt and pain that has or will ever exist. He understood what it was like to be separated from God. All the sins of mankind was poured out on our Lord. He felt the result of every sin that had been committed or will ever be committed. Even our attitudes and indifference toward him. Our Savior faced the horrors of hell alone on the cross in my place and yours. Even the Heavenly Father could not look upon the ugliness of sin that his son willingly accepted. Jesus accepted it all for me and for you, he paid a debt that we could never pay. Nothing we will ever experience can equal the pain of the cross on that day. To each believer he gives eternal life and sends the Holy Spirit to dwell in us. Doing what we cannot do alone. His death on the cross was the total sufficiency of God's grace. It melts the coldest heart and meets our every need. Learn daily to walk in grace, it is sufficient for the. Grace is an action word, as we walk in grace daily with the Lord, our reaction to grace working through us, is love. The love that draws the lost to seek God's gift of saving grace.

What is Grace

The holidays are over, what next? As we look to the future and what it may hold, it can be a little scary. Where do we look for the peace that we need to make it through the year. Sometimes we have to just look to a month ahead or a day and sometimes it is a moment by moment seeking peace where there is heartaches. For me the only answer there is, is grace. Only God can see us through the tough times. May you reach out and seek the grace giver, who can take care of all your needs. May God's Grace go with you each moment of the day.

                                                            What Is Grace

It is easier to ask, what is your need? All that God is, all that the Savior is, and all that the Holy Spirit is, rolled up together as ONE: is the essence of GRACE. It is the ability to do the impossible.

     Grace Is:

                   Love when there is hate.
                   Joy when there is sadness.
                   Peace when there is turmoil.
                   Acceptance instead of rejection.
                   Sufficient when there is need.
                   Purpose when you feel useless.
                   Calm when there is anger.
                   Salvation freely given.
                    Forgiveness for our sins.
                    Patience when things are rushed.
                    Protection in times of danger.
                    Mercy thou undeserved
                    Wisdom when things are misunderstood.
                    The faith to believe.
                    Life when there is death.
                    Abundance in times of need.
                    Empowerment not to sin.
Compassion and mercy for the sick and brokenhearted.
Grace is miracles, when there seems to be no way. Grace loves, accepts, heals and restores. Never hates, never judges, never hurts, never destroys, depends on God to lead. The boundaries of grace reaches as far as the east is from the west. When all you know of Grace has filled a thousand books, then you will
know, you have just begun to learn what grace truly is.
God calls himself, I AM THAT I AM. The great and Holy I AM is full of grace and worthy of all glory, praise and honor.

     2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE: FOR MY STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
